Project Shadow gap lighting

Aurora asked to do a write up on a project we done in Tuffnel park after they seen the pictures of the work. Please see below their write up.

When the owners of a flat in Tuffnel Park in London wanted to complete a bedroom refurbishment, they called upon Mullarkey Contractors. The brief was to replace the lighting scheme of a single pendant light in the centre of the room and install shadow gap lighting that could be dimmed.

Brendan Mullarkey of Mullarkey Contractors selected our warm white LED strip and dimmable LED driver. He said they regularly use our products because of their quality.

Accessibility and low maintenance

The LED strip was adhered to the underside of the ceiling, and the driver was placed in the ceiling with an access panel.

"It’s important that the driver is accessible in case it needs to be replaced in the future,” said Mullarkey. “This saves time and money so someone doesn’t need to search for it and distort your ceiling.”

The entire project was rewired, and the clients implemented two-way switching so they could turn off the lights from by the door and from by the bed.

"The job went very smoothly because good builders were on site or always available. The trick to getting a job like this done well is having good communication between the builder and the electricians. I was very happy with the outcome of the project, and so were the clients,” said Mullarkey.
